From here, you’ll switch to your private 4×4 safari jeep for an exciting 3.5-hour game drive. Udawalawe’s vast grasslands and open plains make elephant sightings almost certain. Watch these majestic herds as they graze, play, and bathe in the reservoir. Along the way, your expert tracker will help you spot buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys, deer, and vibrant birdlife, including peacocks and eagles.

For an even richer experience, you can include a stop at the Udawalawe Elephant Transit Home (ETH) to witness baby elephants being bottle-fed during one of the daily feeding times.
